I love creating these cookies because they're ingredients that I always have in the house, they're quick and you can store them for the week so it's worth taking the time out to make them. So many cookies on the market are not nourishing for your body and I wanted to find a way to make cookies that are actually good for you and my family.


makes about 15 cookies


3 tbsp ground flaxseed (you can blend whole seeds to make a powder)

9 tbsp water

2 large bananas

1/2 cup coconut oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 3/4 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup oat flour (you can blend whole rolled oats to make a flour)

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)




  1. Whisk together the ground flaxseed and water. Leave for 10 minutes

  2. Turn on the oven to 190 degrees c

  3. Mash the bananas and add the coconut oil, vanilla extract, cinnamon and baking soda

  4. Add the flaxseed mix

  5. Add the oat flour and rolled oats

  6. Add the chocolate chips

  7. Form into about 15 cookies on a greaseproof sheet

  8. Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes

  9. Allow to cool

  10. Enjoy!
