Apple and cinnamon granola

Family friendly, quick, easy, nutritious, tried and tested.

-4 cups rolled oats

-1 cup blended seeds/nuts (whatever you prefer)

-1 tsp fine-grain sea salt

-1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

-1/2 cup melted coconut oil

-1/2 cup maple syrup

-1 tsp vanilla extract

-3/4 cup dehydrated apple (I buy this from my local health store but some supermarkets sell it. If you can't find it you can do it yourself with a dehydrating machine or replace the apple with another dried fruit of your choice)

-3/4 cup dried coconut shavings/flakes

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C

  2. In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients

  3. Add the wet ingredients and combine well to make sure all the dry mixture is coated

  4. Line a large rimmed baking tray with parchment paper

  5. Bake for about 20 minutes move the mixture every 5 minutes or so to make sure it doesn't burn. If it starts to look like its burning then remove it before the 20 minutes

  6. Enjoy!
