GUYS. I have missed writing my weekly ramblings about this’n that but if I’m honest, and it’s you so I am always brutally honest, I have been lacking on the inspirational front. There is no new sparkly fresh ideas in my head at the moment, and everything seems to have already been done. There are so many blogs out there that I’m like, how in the bleedin’ heck do I differ from these witty beautiful bloggers. But then I man-ed up and went shopping, because that’s one of the things I do best.
If you follow my blog, you know how unhealthy my obsession with Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation is. There is no product that even comes close to the dreamy svelt look this stuff gives my skin. The coverage is perfect, the dewiness is spot on and the colour matches perfectly. There is just one slight snag, it is pricey. Well, not pricey as in bankrupt pricey, but pricey enough for me to feel a pang of guilt each time I purchase.
So the blogger in me has been whingeing to find a cheaper alternative that is *just* as sexual as my beloved EL, I of course did not think it was possible, BUT. I think I may have just done it!
I picked up this Rimmel Stay Matt Foundation a couple of Friday nights ago when I was on my way home from work. Naturally, I had a couple of cheap Chardonnays in me because OMG-it’s-5-o-clock-drinks Friday which is always a bad time to make any purchase other than some kind of carby fast food. But anyway, I sauntered into Superdrug and bought this little lady. And by-golly was it probably the best thing I’ve ever done?
Yes, it was.
Srsly, this stuff is what dreams are made of. Its coverage is fantastic, and it glides over the skin effortlessly. It’s a really light moose formula which makes it so easy to apply. What’s even dreamier is that it is only £5.99, so barely makes a dent in your monthly beauty splurge allowance. Winning.
Another thing I really like about this product is that it comes in lots of different shades, so whether you are blessed with a golden tan right now, or in need of a bit of sun-loving, there is a shade to suit you. I opted for 200 Soft Beige and it's spot on for my skin tone right now.
So yeah, if you are looking for a new foundation but don’t want to spend bare bucks on it, give this little lady a try – I promise you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Rimmel for showing me that there is life after Estee.
Peace and love xx
